Kickoff is required for all members. We'll gather in the STEM Gym at 4C Academy to watch the reveal live, then head straight to the shop to start brainstorming.

What is Kickoff?

Kickoff is the first day of the FIRST Robotics Competition season. FIRST® reveals that year's game live, and every team — ours included — sees the rules for the first time at the same moment. From there, we have six weeks to design, build, program, and wire a robot before our first competition. It's part reveal party, part starting gun.

What comes next

The Road to Worlds

Kickoff — January 9, 2027
Game reveal at the STEM Gym, 4C Academy. Build season begins immediately after.
Build Season — Early January to Late February
Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays in the shop. Design, fabricate, wire, and program the robot from scratch.
Dalton District Qualifier — Week 1, early March
Dalton Convention Center, Dalton, GA. Travel team only — exact dates TBD.
Albany District Qualifier — Week 4, late March
Albany Civic Center. No travel costs, so any team member meeting requirements may attend — exact dates TBD.
PCH District Championship — Early–mid April
Hawkins Arena, Mercer University, Macon, GA. If we qualify, FIRST Championship in Houston follows in April.
